All along this journey, I have encountered angels among us. The doctors, nurses, techs, and registration staff at all the hospitals and doctors' offices have been amazing. They continue to comfort me with their compassion and gentle spirits.
Today I was given a wonderful reminder of these angels by my dear friend, Heather. One of her friends (who doesn't even know me) made me a necklace with angels' wings imprinted on it. It is just glorious. On the card, the artist wrote:
"Angel Wings -- To give you strength when you feel alone, knowing someone loves you."
I'm telling you, I am walking among angels. And now I have the wings to prove it.
