Part of the process for determining breast cancer treatment is doing genetic testing. I am happy to report that I am the proud owner of genes that are NOT breast cancer genes!!!
Hooray!!!!! This is great news because:
1. I don't run the risk of passing the genes to my children or grandchildren.
2. I don't have to have a double mastectomy because of the probability of developing invasive breast cancer.
As I told my surgeon, I am finally breathing again after weeks of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Thank you, God, for such great news!!!
