On February 25th, I learned that I have breast cancer. I decided to create this blog to keep my family and friends abreast of my journey to Kick Cancer!
The good news: I have DCIS, which is a non-invasive cancer.
The bad news: The MRI I had on February 29th found another suspicious area. If that area is also cancer, I will have a mastectomy rather than a lumpectomy. I don't know about you, but I'd like to take my cancer with one lump, not two!
Next steps: I have another biopsy scheduled on Friday, March 7th. The results from that will determine lots.
