My skin is definitely burning from the radiation. A few of my friends have asked me whether I'm taking pictures of my skin during treatment. I'm leaving that to the doctors. But for you visual types, I thought I'd let you know that my normal skin color is this color and my charred skin is now this color. And I still have 5 treatments to go. Ouch!
My radiation oncologist put me on pain meds today to help with the constant pain. I'm hoping to be able to stay lucid enough this week to work a bit. However, based on how the first pill made me feel, I may be coasting through most of the week. Don't worry--I have decided not to drive since I am so loopy on the meds--so you are safe on the roads in Plano.
