Thursday my surgeon aspirated two different areas. She was able to get a significant amount of fluid out of the lumpectomy cavity but just a little fluid out of the previous area she aspirated. She sent both off for culture.
Friday my radiation oncologist examined me. He thinks I have improved, so we are starting radiation again on Monday.
Friday afternoon, I started hurting again. I am still hurting. Today I am running fever as well. So tomorrow I will discuss this with the doctors to see what they want to do.
We should have the results from the cultures late Monday or sometime Tuesday. Hopefully one or both will show an infection that can help the doctors find the miracle medication to stop the swelling!
